What Driving License do I need for an Exalt Auto Group Subscription car?
A current full and valid driver’s licence. Your licence must be shown when picking up your vehicle along with the licenses of any additional drivers. Probationary licences are also accepted. All licences must be in English or supported by a certified translation or International Driving Permit. For non-English driving licenses should be acompanied with an International Driving Permit.
Can I use a Digital License to hire a car?
No. You must present the hard copy version of your license when hiring a car. Vic digital driving licenses and those from overseas are not accepted on their own.
Can any one other than myself drive the vehicle and is there a charge?
If you wish for someone else to drive your rental vehicle, you will need to add an Additional Driver to your rental agreement. There is a charge of $10 for each Additional Driver you add.
To be authorised to drive your rental vehicle, Additional Drivers must meet the following requirements:
At the time of vehicle pick-up, all additional drivers must be present, with their full and valid Driver Licence, so that Exalt Auto Group team members can validate their identity.
All drivers must meet the same Exalt Auto Group Car Subscriptions Terms and Conditions as the main driver, to be covered under the same rental agreement.
Additional driver must reside at the same address as the main driver.
How do I pay for my rental?
Exalt Auto Group Vic Pty Ltd collect payments via Direct Debit through Pay Advantage. The following accepted cards for payment include Visa & MasterCard.
When paying via direct debit a card transaction fee of $1.21 including GST, will apply on all charges at time of payment.
I’m due to return my car but I want to extend my rental, What do I do?
Additional charges will apply if you return your vehicle at a later date or time. You can extend your subscription by contacting us online on our website or emailing info@exaltautogroup.com.au.
What motor vehicle cover do I receive with Exalt Auto Group and what is the excess?
You receive Comprehensive Cover with Exalt Auto Group. The Excess ranges between $1000-$5000.
Do I still have to pay the excess if I am not at fault?
Yes you will still be liable to pay the applicable excess amount even if a third party is at fault. Once the fault is established and the third party agrees to pay for the damages, we will refund you the excess.
How old do I have to be to Subscribe to Exalt Auto Groups car Subscription?
Minimum age is 21 with a current full Australian driver licence or P2 Provisional licence or have a valid licence from their country of residence written in English and if not in English a valid International Driving Permit or an approved translation of the licence into English.
Can I use someone else's credit card to pay for my car?
No. For security purposes all renters must use a credit card in their name when collecting and paying for the Exalt Auto Group vehicle.
What do I need to bring with me to Exalt Auto Group counter to rent a vehicle?
You must present a valid, physical credit/debit card and a current, full and valid drivers licence in your own name. Any additional drivers must also be present at the time of rental and provide a current, full and valid drivers licence.
Who do I call if I have a vehicle and need assistance?
If you're on the road and need assistance please call 1800 686 464 for Roadside Assistance or 13 11 76 for Towing incase of an accident and help will be on the way.
If something does cause your vehicle to breakdown, we want to make sure you're back on the road as soon as possible. That's why we include mechanical breakdown assistance as part of our rates. We'll come to the rescue in the case of any mechanical fault.
Will I be charged per kilometer I drive?
Unless indicated otherwise at the time of booking, all car subscriptions include unlimited kilometres.
What happens if I have an accident or damage my rental subscription car?
In the event of an accident or damage it is important not to panic. Contact us via phone 0466972933 or email info@exaltautogroup.com.au. The driver is required to complete and file a Exalt Auto Group incident report.
All accidents involving bodily injury must be reported to the local police department where the accident occurred. In addition, the driver must complete and file any accident reports required by local or state authorities.
What will I be charged when there is an accident or if I damage the Exalt Auto Group vehicle?
In the event of an accident or damage, you will be charged the applicable excess amount as stated on your Exalt Auto Group Subscription Agreement. Please note that this will be in addition to your Car Subscription amount.
